The whole goal behind Jailbreak is to rise in rank through one of 2 gangs you pick until you can finally lead the charge to break the king of all bikers, Spaz out of jail, hence the title Road Rash: Jailbreak. Road Rash wouldn't work if not for the perfect balance of racing and combat, and I'm proud to say that Jailbreak delivers, with the small addition of combos to the combat side and upgradeable bikes to boot. Neither element is all that good by itself, but it's when they're brought together, like that prodigious moment when peanut butter met chocolate, that they become something truly greater than the sum of their parts. Gameplay Road Rash is, at its heart, just a simple beat-em-up and a racer. Road Rash: Jailbreak is fun, but not in the same way it used to be. Everything that makes up Road Rash is here, but it's somehow lost its soul along the way. It's all there, but with little in the way of innovation or originality. The control is there, the fighting is there, the speed is there, the crappy framerates are there, and the gritty graphics are there. Those aren't quite major things but they do bring it down a little bit. It's as if the game was ripped directly from the cart I spent so many years neigh-umbilically attached to, and plopped onto a CD. Natasha she speaks like a woman when she taunts but when you hit/pummel her she sounds like a guy even when she hit's a vehicle. The only bad things are there are some glitches like going through hills sometimes and your guy rolling into no where. Single player is where it all shines down to. You get KO's and nitros and don't forget those pastry loving guys. Your taunts are mostly funny, even better when 2 player biker taunts. The punching and kicking effects are pretty funny. The weapons you can use are just fun to use once you know how to. How would you like to zap a cop with a taser or cattle prod? How about slapping them with 2 x 4's and uplifting them with crow bars? This is a fun game to play because it lets you experience Road Rash 3D all over again but a lot better. As well, the Dual Shock Analog Controller is supported for increased realism. Road Rash: Jailbreak delivers classic Road Rash action, but with updated graphics and a whole new sound. Bands from all over the United States include Turd, Vice, The Blacklight Posterboys, The Suburban Vamps and Chevelle. Other features of the game include over 80 miles of interconnected roads, over 100 different races, 15 new bikes, six types of sidecars and a new soundtrack featuring top emerging talent from the Road Rash Band Search. Eleven weapons are available, including nunchukas, crowbars, mace and even a cattle prod. With 45 outrageous Attack Combos and Super Moves, hi-octane combat plays a large role in winning the game. Add in a Multi Tap to the SideCar mode and take on a pair of friends! Try the unique sidecar mode where one player drives and the rider fights off all other challengers race your friends for bragging rights in Skull-to-Skull or try Cops and Robbers, where one player assumes the role of the cop, the other his target. You also have the option of playing on the right side of the law in Five-O mode, where you are a police officer out to bust suspects and fill your rasher quota.įive all new multi-player modes have been added for intense competition. In Road Rash: Jail Break it's up to you to bust the toughest rasher of all time, Spaz, out of jail! To accomplish this, you'll have to join a motorcycle gang and move up through the ranks by succeeding at a variety of challenges and winning races. The Road Rash series continues with an all new chapter of intense motorcycle combat and racing action.
